Backpacks
Over the years, I’ve gone through many, many backpacks but recently upgraded to the Osprey Talon 22 L for day hikes. For those carrying cameras/lenses/drones, my go-to is the Shimoda Explore V2 25 Camera Backpack. It’s got LOADS of pockets.
Water
My go-to way to carry water is using water bladders. This way, I can carry the weight on my back and drink through a straw. Insulated water bottles are my favorite to keep water ice cold but they can be pretty heavy to carry so I️ opt for the HydraPak Flux 1.5 L Collapsible Water Bottle when I️ want to keep it light.
Footwear
Wide toe box is the way to go if you have wide feet! Both Meg and I️ use Altras Lone Peak Trail Runners. I️ pair them with Darn Tough Socks. They’re expensive but worth it! They have a lifetime warranty so you can get them replaced when you inevitably get a hole. Lastly, I️ wear Chacos when I️ want my toes free!
